How much does it cost to install a remote car starter?

Car Starters range from $225-$799. Generally speaking, $225 would be a basic lock-lock-lock starter incorporated into your factory remote with the range of your factory remote. $799 would be a two-way starter with an alarm and a phone add-on. You would be able to start your car from anywhere in North America that you have an internet connection; there is essentially no range limitation within that.

Can a remote starter be switched to another vehicle?

Yes! Starters can typically be switched to a new vehicle, as long as you are not going from a European car to a non-European car or vice versa. There are a few exceptions to this rule, but when a customer asks us to swap their car starter to a new vehicle this is typically doable 90%+ of the time.

Can a remote starter be installed on any car?

For 99% of cars there is no issue. There are a few exceptions to this rule, but if your car is not rare you can bank on being able to put a car starter in your vehicle.

Can you put a remote start on a push button start car?

Absolutely! Although a lot of other shops will charge extra for push-button cars, we charge the same price as a regular key vehicle (except in rare situations).

How long does it take to install a remote car starter?

The average time to install a car starter is two hours. Some vehicles we can complete in 20 minutes, while other vehicles can take 3+ hours to complete. 2 hours is a good general rule.

A remote starter, a.k.a. “car starter,” “auto starter” or “remote start system,” is a device which allows you to start your engine from outside of the car or truck. Using a car starter, you can warm up your car on those cold winter mornings here in Kingston, or even cool down your seats during those hot, humid, sticky summer days and nights. Car starters also provide a degree of added safety, as your car will be ready to drive one you enter the vehicle; but, rest assured, the doors are still locked until you unlock them and get in.
